Once here, you'll be well placed to discover the region with Lourdes, World Pilgrimage Centre, where the whole world converges on the sanctuary and its castle. Explore the grotto of the apparitions, the crypt and the underground basilica of St Pius X, and watch the daily processions. Then explore the Pyrenees National Park, with its breathtaking scenery, golden marmots, agile isards and griffon vultures. Take advantage of organised walks to discover this natural treasure, and capture the sunrises over the clear, blue lakes for unforgettable memories.

Swimming & well-being
A swimming pool is an essential and much-appreciated feature of many campsites, but it's not part of our nature or culture. For us mountain people,water evokes the purity of incredibly colourful high altitude lakes, the rainbow trout that wriggle in them, and the legends that surround the springs. We are contemplative people, drawn by the music of water bubbling up from the earth.
Our parents designed the pool in the image of a mountain dweller, raised to preserve the landscape, offering a panoramic view of the peaks. It's an infinity pool, where the water forms a cascade and you can recognise the hikes you've made on the surrounding peaks. Situated against the Pibeste, it is sheltered from the wind, in accordance with the wisdom of the ancients, who observed the cows to choose the best spots. Fuelled by the warmth of the air, it offers the ideal setting for practising tai chi and qi gong, surrounded by centuries-old oaks full of energy.

In the heart of the Pibeste Nature Reserve, our eco-lodge invites you to share unique moments with your family. As natives of these mountains, we've explored every nook and cranny and want to pass on our love of the region through authentic experiences.
After discussing your expectations, we'll put together a personalised programme including family activities in the mountains and in nature, meditation sessions by the lakes, or contemplative bird watching.
While your children play by the pool or in theplayground, you can enjoy the pleasures of this wonderful natural setting. Or why not take a walk with a donkey or llama in the Val d'Azun, visit the Argelès market in search of local produce, or enjoy a picnic by the torrent.
Our well-being services at Soleil du Pibeste offer you a relaxing interlude in the heart of the Pyrenees. Discover our Tai Chi Qi Gong classes, meditation sessions, expert massages, aquatic treatments and sound baths, all designed to provide total relaxation and deep revitalisation.

- LOURDES - World Pilgrimage Centre :
The whole world stops off at Lourdes, a small town nestling around the shrine and at the foot of a castle. Lourdes shines like a beacon. A unique place of encounter and reconciliation. Every continent is represented on the esplanade. All nationalities rub shoulders and merge into one community. Pilgrims and tourists discover the grotto of the apparitions, the crypt and the underground basilica of Saint Pius X, which in its grandiose simplicity can accommodate 20,000 worshippers. Processions in the grotto area take place daily from Easter to October. The torch-lit procession requested of Bernadette by the Virgin is an impressive display of contemplation.
- Parc National des Pyrénées - The Parc National des Pyrénées covers 45700 hectares:
It was created in 1967. Its missions are varied: it protects the environment, preserves biodiversity, landscapes and sites such as the Gavarnie cirque, classified as a U.N.E.S.C.O. heritage site. The national park's mission is to protect and enhance the natural and cultural wealth of the area. It encourages sustainable development in the Pyrenees. Leaving from the Soleil du Pibeste campsite, you can discover the National Park and its heritage on hikes organised by Pierre the guide. You can spot golden marmots, agile isards and griffon vultures. You'll also be able to photograph flowers endemic to the Pyrenees, such as the ramonde, the Pyrenean lily and many others, like the Amico in its sunny colours. The sunrises over the crystal-clear blue lakes will take your breath away. In the evening, you'll return to the campsite full of energy and memories.
