The Costa Dorada takes its name from the colour of the golden sand lit up by the sun’s rays. Here, you don’t have to choose between the sea and the mountains, between culture and leisure, between crowds and tranquillity. Spend your holiday a stone’s throw from mountain villages yet close to the most beautiful Mediterranean beaches. So, ready to soak up the Mediterranean sun and the Spanish atmosphere?/p>
Check out our selection of campsites on the Costa Dorada, a coastline stretching for over 200km along the edge of the Mediterranean. Our 4-star services and facilities will of course ensure you make the most of the region while staying close to the superb beaches that are so characteristic of this coast.
The Costa Dorada alternates between the most beautiful coves, historic remains, mountainous terrain planted with vines and olive trees, and town centres where art is everywhere. There’s something for everyone!
Inevitably, the Costa Dorada is all about relaxing on the beach under the Spanish sun. From one beach to the next, you can be sure you’ll always find crystal-clear water to swim in. To name but a few of the most beautiful: Platja de Riumar, Cala de la Roca Plana, Cala Fonda and Platja de Tamarit.
For a refreshing change from the beach, head inland to visit the nature parks, such as Els Ports or the Ebro Delta. In these protected sanctuaries, you can go walking, cycling or even kayaking amid forests full of flowers, to be at one with nature.
As for the picturesque villages, here you’ll want to linger in the shade of medieval castles or Roman ruins, such as those of Calafell or Tarragona.
And of course there’s the famous theme park in Salou, Port Aventura, where adrenalin seekers can enjoy some of the fastest rides and tallest roller coasters in Europe. Crazy sensations and laughter all round, to be shared with family or friends!
